Come by and see these trees this Saturday, February 6th, 10AM to 4PM, and take home some fire for that special someone in your life. Candy is dandy but it only lasts a day. Flowers are fragrant but they won’t be fresh by Friday. A fiery red tree makes an outstanding Valentine that will last a lifetime. Can’t make it? Call or text us at 425-677-4948 to make an appointment.
Fireglow Japanese Red Maple (Acer palmatum ‘Fireglow’) Unlike many other Japanese
Maples, Fireglow is sun tolerant and will survive full sun in our area with regular watering. In fact, you will want to grow Fireglow in a place where it will be backlit by the sun. The leaves will glow like shards of stained glass. In autumn the leaves turn bright red. This tree grows upright and tops out at about 12 feet making it ideal for smaller yards. You can even plant Fireglow in a large pot as long as it gets afternoon shade and sufficient water. Full sun to part shade. Our Fireglow Maples are 3 to 4 feet tall in 2 gallon pots. You can pay over $100 for one of these trees but this Saturday we are offering them for only $39.
Moonfire Japanese Red Maple (Acer palmatum ‘Moonfire’) Bring on the heat! Moonfire is
another Japanese Red Maple that can handle hot afternoon sun. This upright tree has very deep red-garnet colored leaves that hold their color throughout the summer. This fast growing tree tops out at about 18 feet. Like Fireglow, Moonfire is best appreciated when the sun is shining through the leaves. Sit yourself down in your favorite lawn chair in the shade of your Moonfire, and gaze upward to admire the glowing canopy. The deep red leaves are actually translucent. Turns fire engine red in the fall. Full sun to part shade. Our Moonfire Maples are 4 to 5 feet tall in 3 gallon pots. This Saturday we are offering them or only $49.
